Salmon and Mascarpone Appetizer





I love to make this recipe because there is no cooking, it has a great visual and you can make it in advance. Of course, the taste is awesome!
This recipe is also great for parties or any kind of buffet style service.
You can substitute the mascarpone with cream cheese if you don't have any. You can also serve this as an entree on a plate (this will make two servings).






Ingredients (for 6 shot glasses)

For the Salmon Mix
Smoked salmon -- 80g -- 2.82 oz.
Chopped chive -- 1tbsp.
Lemon juice -- few drops
A pinch of Cayenne Pepper

For the Mascarpone & Yogurt Mix
Mascarpone -- 2 tbsp.
Plain Yogurt -- 4 tbsp.
Lemon Juice -- 2 tsp.
Salt & Pepper (be careful, the smoked salmon is already salted)


2 small or 1 large tomato + a pinch of sugar
1 tsp. of chopped chive (for decoration)
1 tbsp. of red lumpfish caviar or any caviar substitute (optional)
