Thin Crust French Apple Tart

This is my go to recipe when I want to make an apple pie. It is really quick and simple.

I use a nice quality store bought puff pastry dough. Try to use the stuff with real butter please! Some ingredients on these labels are scary!
If you don’t want to use store bought dough but still don’t have time or motivation for the whole puff pastry dough process, you can google “quick puff pastry dough recipe". Here is one: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2403/roughpuff-pastry-

I like to mix brown sugar and white granulated sugar. The first one is for the taste and the second one for the caramelisation. You can use either one.

For a shiny result you can heat two tablespoons of apricot jelly with 1 tablespoon water in the microwave and brush the top of the apple tart with it using a pastry brush.

Ingredients

1 puff pastry dough sheet
3 big apples
1 tbsp.  lemon juice
1.41 oz. -- 40g -- brown and white sugar mix
¼ oz. -- 10g-- cold unsalted diced butter
